August is Illinois State Fair season. If you haven’t already made plans to visit our historic state fair, now is the time. The fair will run in Springfield from August 13 through August 23. Whether you want to admit it or not we all love something about the fair. It could be the strange food on a stick, a concert, the butter cow, or any number of animal shows and events.

Once we’re done with the fair, it’s Back to School time! Some of us will be taking our kids to school for the first time; and some of us will be preparing to send our kids off to college. Wherever your family lands on the school timeline, I hope you have a great school year!

I have been a State Farm agent since 2008. I am an IL Army National Guard veteran, and father of 3 children. I love supporting our Military Veterans, Springfield Public Schools, the Rock & Run for Mental Health, the Mini O’Beirne Crisis Nursery and many other local events. I buy local whenever possible.
